Brief history and export experience of the company

1982 - Tomas Suchanek starts selling tropical fish from his own supply to Czech export companies that deliver the fish to entire Western Europe.

1988 - Tomas Suchanek becomes a manager of an export department in one of the largest export companies in the Czech Republic.

1992 - Establishement of own export company called Vladimira Suchankova - EXOT HOBBY. This company exports tropical fish to Austria and Germany from own breeding hall as well as from the top Czech breeders.

1992 - Beginning of cooperation with the SANDERS Brine Shrimp company ltd., Utah, USA, to whom we are exclusive distributor of artemia salina.

1994 - Beginning of cooperation with Hw Wiegandt company, Krefeld, Germany, who is our exclusive supplier of technology and equipment for breeders.

2002 - First introduction of SAK 55 on the Czech market.

2003 - Establishement of EXOT HOBBY s.r.o. (Ltd). This company was found to distribute fish food SAK, technology and equipment for breeders.

2004 - New versions of SAK. Expanding and entering foreign markets. Presentation of the company at the INTERZOO 2004 International fair in Nuremberg, Germany.

Range of products offered by EXOT HOBBY s.r.o.:

1. Fish food SAK: is one of our main products that we deliver worldwide. SAK is designed to meet the needs of all sizes and species of tropical fish.
2. Artemia salina: we are an exclusive distributor of Artemia salina produced by SANDERS Brine Shrimp Company.
3. Equipment for breeders: we produce equipment for breeders such as aquarium and vivarium tanks.
4. Technology for breeders: we deliver technology for breeders such as reverse osmosis, UV sterilisers, filters, sea salt etc. produced by hw Wiegandt company, Germany.
5. PE transport bags: we produce PE transport bags that we also use for our own transportation of fish.
6. Food for pets: Newly, we started to distribute a high quality extruded food for dogs, cats, rodents and horses.

The fish delivered by Vladimira Suchankova - EXOT HOBBY:

We can deliver our fish to your store by truck or we can send them by air (see the conditions below). Our fish offer (incl. fish codes and offered numbers) is updated every week on our website.

1. Our fish are not caught in the wild. They have been living in aquariums for many generations, which means they are not stressed by living in a limited space.
2. Our fish don´t require any special type of water. They are inured living in any type of fresh water.
3. Transportation in our trucks is short, considerate and performed under skilled supervision. (The mortality rate is at most 0.5% of annual amount!)
4. All fish are kept with the best care. The fish we offer come from our own breeding or from other top Czech breeders who we know very well.

How to order the fish?

Our customers look through our offer. It is convenient to place an order till Friday evening (by fax or e-mail) so that we are able to fill it next week from Tuesday till Thursday.
We can send current offer including price list upon request. If you are happy with our offer and prices, we can come to the next point:

In case of truck shipment:
We take care of all necessary custom documentation including the payment of custom fees. These services are free, we only charge the "actual" fees to our customer.
The fish are delivered in polystyrene cases. The cases are returnable or they can be invoiced upon customer request.
The minimum order amount depends on a distance to the customer seat. In case of low order we also invoice forward charges.
 
In case of plane shipment:
The package is sent from the Ruzyne airport in Prague.
The air forward charges are sent along with the proforma invoice or can be sent upon request.
Payment in advance is required.
The fish are delivered in polystyrene cases which are already included in the proforma invoice.
The minimum ordered amount of fish is in value of 1.000,- EUR
 
The shipment can be paid in USD, EUR, CZK and you can choose which one is most convenient for you.

The most convenient option is to pick up your order in our store (see the address below). In this case no minimum amount is required and you can receive more convenient prices in case of bigger order.

The particular matters can be discussed and the best individual solutions can be found. We are flexible and we are always trying to accomodate every single customer´s wish.
